Maintenance Technician Job Description

Title Maintenance Technician

Department(s) Operations

Reports to Tire Sales and Services Manager

Job Summary

Love’s is committed to providing Clean Places, Friendly Faces, and one stop shopping for our customers. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for Tire Sales and Service, Roadside Assistance, and Facility Maintenance for the location.

Summary of essential job functions

The maintenance technician will be responsible for the following:

Tire Sales and Service

  • Sale, Removal, and Replacement of tires up to but not limited to Commercial
  • Inventory Control Roadside Assistance

o Technician will be responsible for assisting customers with roadside services up to but not limited to Jumpstarts, Fuel, and Vehicle Lockouts.

Maintenance

  • Technician will be responsible for maintaining store appearance both inside and out. (ex. Trash, showers and bathrooms, and parking lot)
  • Technician will be responsible for equipment repair and preventative maintenance. (ex. Refrigeration coils, A/C filters, and Diesel/Gas Pumps)
  • Technician will be responsible for weekly and monthly projects. (ex. Task List)

Minimum requirements

Must be able to work a variety of shift including nights and weekend and a minimum of 40 hours a week.

1 – 2 years Experience in Tire or Lube Express environment a plus. Maintenance backgrounds a plus.

Criminal Background, MVR, and Drug Screen required.

Abilities required

Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. (ex. Tire Changing)

Must be able to work in close quarters. (ex. Commercial Vehicle Wheel Wells)

Mechanically Inclined

Must be able to follow directions

Must be able to learn new skills quickly.
